Our Family Interactive Calendar

I run two preschools and a family of seven, and I was tired of being the only calendar in the house. This plugin turns Claude into a family scheduling assistant that keeps everyone on the same page, while keeping your work life and your family life separate.

Why it helps

Most families run on one person's memory, and that person is usually tired. Appointments hide in texts, practice schedules sit in backpacks, and someone always says "nobody told me." This plugin gives the whole family one shared picture of the week, sent to them every morning, so you stop being the reminder system. Everyone knows the plan, everyone can add to it, and you get your headspace back for the things that matter.

What it does

  • One daily plan. Combines your work, personal, and family calendars into one schedule. Your work account never sees your personal calendar.
  • Talk it in. Say a quick note into your phone ("dentist Thursday at 2") and it lands on the right calendar.
  • A 5 AM family email. Every morning the family gets today's plan, what is coming up, and a color-coded month-at-a-glance calendar, with new events highlighted.
  • A family quote and weekly focus. One uplifting quote a day and one thing the family is working on together each week.
  • Everyone can add to it. Family members reply to the email, forward an appointment confirmation or calendar invitation, or snap a photo of a practice flyer, and every date is pulled out.
  • You stay in charge. You approve family requests before they are added, with an optional overnight setting so nothing waits while you sleep.

How to install

  1. Click "Get the free plugin" below, enter your email, and download the file.
  2. Open it in the Claude desktop app and click to install.
  3. Connect your calendar and email in Claude (a chat app like Slack and a texting tool are optional extras).
  4. Say "Set up our family calendar." Claude walks you through a short, friendly setup: family members, colors, calendars, and times.
  5. Try the test email first. Claude sends it only to you before anything goes to the family.

What you need

  • Your own Claude account and plan from Anthropic (not included, not free from us)
  • The Claude desktop app
  • A calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook)
  • An email account for the family email
  • Optional: Slack or Teams, and a texting tool

Privacy, built in

Your settings and family details live in your own files and accounts. Nothing comes back to us. Business calendars are read where they live and never mixed with family calendars. Medical appointments appear in the family email as one short line, never with details.

Is this really free?

Yes. The plugin is free to download and use. We just ask for your email so we can send you updates. Claude itself is a separate product from Anthropic, and using it requires your own Claude account and plan.

Do I need to be tech-savvy?

No. After installing, you just talk to Claude. The setup interview asks plain questions, and Claude does the rest.

Can I share it with friends?
